Deric Grohowski

Hello! I am Deric Grohowski, a dedicated professional passionate about empowering others in human performance and wellness. With a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College, specializing in Sports Science and Human Performance, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from King’s College, my journey toward better appreciating the complexities within health and optimal performance continues to this day.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science within the Department of Health and Human Performance, I am committed to imparting knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of the human body's capabilities. Through my role, I strive to guide students and athletes alike, toward realizing their potential both on and off the field.

Beyond academia, I am a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.), blending theoretical knowledge with practical expertise to enhance athletic abilities and promote holistic health. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach, amalgamating manual therapy principles with exercise science to optimize performance, reduce injury risk, and promote lifelong wellness.

As a late comer to rugby, I did not experience the game as a player until after I had graduated in my late 20’s. However, the intensity, skill, and mutual respect with which the game was played had me instantly hooked. It is through these experiences that I genuinely believe Rugby can be the vehicle for change to establish deeper core values, strengthen local communities, and build more resilient athletes.

Driven by a genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their fitness goals and excel in their endeavors, I am committed to contributing meaningfully to the field of exercise science and empowering others to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Let's connect and explore the boundless possibilities at the intersection of science, health, and human performance!
